As Thanksgiving approaches, I find myself reflecting on how deeply grateful I am for the way God has worked in my life, family, and business. This season brings to mind our journey—a journey not only shaped by career shifts and personal goals but by a calling to build what we have come to call “True Wealth.” True Wealth isn’t merely a matter of financial success; it’s a life anchored in faith, family, and purpose.
My mission to build True Wealth began in our own home. Chelsea and I felt strongly called to live differently – to prioritize God, our marriage, and our family above everything else. Teaching and training our children had to come first. This, along with a call to love God above all else and a conviction that no professional success could ever outweigh the importance of our marriage or the privilege and responsibility of raising our children in a way that honors Him. Through our journey, God blessed us with four incredible children, each through adoption. Adoption transformed not just our family but our understanding of the gospel, legacy, commitment, and the profound impact that comes when we live for something beyond ourselves.
In the years before Life Bridge Capital, I worked long hours as a federal agent, training horses on the side to make ends meet. I was often exhausted and stretched thin. I’d met so many men and women who appeared successful on the outside but were struggling in their marriages and families. I realized that no amount of outward success was worth sacrificing the health and unity of my family. Chelsea and I saw this struggle around us and knew we would have to make decisions that others might not be willing to make. When we made the difficult choice to sell our farm, many thought we were out of our minds, but we understood that True Wealth could only be built if we created margin in our lives—time to be intentional with one another and with our children. We recognized that working two full-time jobs long-term would inevitably damage the relationships that mattered most. Selling the farm was our first step toward starting a business that would allow us to increase both our income and our capacity to give.
Through these steps, God brought us to Life Bridge Capital and to the mission of creating wealth that serves a greater purpose. This isn’t just about finances. It’s about investing in lives, families, and communities. Today, the flexibility we worked so hard to achieve has allowed me to be there for my family, to be present in our marriage, and to teach our children by example that success comes from faithfulness to God’s calling. And through the Omnah Foundation, we’re blessed to extend this mission to other families, helping them bring their own children home, just as we did.
