For him, having a mentor was a fundamental part of his success and he put a great deal of effort into making himself as valuable as possible. Despite great initial success, when the 2008 crash came, he lost everything. He then took some time away from real estate, but the fire never died and he has bounced back even stronger. This tough time taught him many lessons that he uses today in his successful real estate business. He does extensive research to ensure the properties he buys do not come with too much risk along with maintaining a conservative investment philosophy. For him, choosing to invest in mobile homes is one of the ways he has chosen to protect himself in the event of a future downturn because it is always the most affordable segment of the rental market in an area.
